"Killing Monsters" - that is title for a series of sound files and tidbits in the form of graphics that developers released to fans in advance of the publication of the third part of thir franchise called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The giveaway began on June 10, 2013, with presentation of the debut gameplay trailer at E3 2013 in Los Angeles and ended with the release of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Killing Monsters Cinematic Trailer" during 14 August 2013.

CryEngine is a game engine designed by the German game developer Crytek.

It has been used in all of their titles with the initial version being used in Far Cry, and continues to be updated to support new consoles and hardware for their games. It has also been used for many third-party games under Crytek's licensing scheme, including Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and SNOW. Cloud Imperium Games initially used a heavily modified version of the engine for the games Star Citizen and Squadron 42, but have announced that they are switching to Amazon Lumberyard, a fork of CryEngine.

The film stars Lucas Till, Jane Levy, Amy Ryan, Rob Lowe, Danny Glover, Barry Pepper and Holt McCallany.

Principal photography of the film began on April 4, 2014 in Kamloops. The film is set to be released on January 13, 2017, by Paramount Pictures.
